Twig Bird | Risulintu

Twig bird Risulintu

I got into twig crafting last spring. The first thing I tried to make was a twig bird.

Innostuin viime keväänä risutöistä. Ensimmäinen kokeilu oli risulintu.

   Tools
To make a twig bird, you'll need twigs, iron wire (preferably black), cutters and secateurs (not in the photo).

You'll start by making two balls of twigs with wire. A smaller one for the head and a bigger one for the body. Then you'll tie twigs into a peak for the bird and cover and attach the head and the body with the those twigs and wire. Then you can add individual twigs into suitable places. I also made one smaller and slimmer bird and filmed the process, which you can watch here.
